Radio Active, located in central Bangalore, is a platform for heterogeneous communities. Though the idea of launching a community radio station was mooted long back, the station came into existence in June 2007. Thematic Focus: Women’s physical and mental health, gender and sexuality, women and children, waste management, etc., are the main focus areas. Then there are programmes on animal rights, veganism, food security, disability, domestic workers, women and transgenders.
