The Film & Television Institute of India, which is an autonomous institution of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, applied for a community radio licence in 2003. Trial broadcasting commenced on 1st June 2006 and regular broadcasting started on 29th January 2007. Thematic Focus: The community radio station focuses on cultural upliftment, women’s empowerment, day to day life in Pune, and film education.
