Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization (MGIRI) is a national institute under the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Ministry, Government of India. The Rural Craft and Engineering Department of MGIRI made efforts in 2010-11 to set up a community radio station to promote rural entrepreneurship/ village industries, health awareness, legal literacy, literacy and women’s empowerment, etc. Thematic Focus: Rural entrepreneurship / village industries, development, agriculture, health, sanitation, hygiene, women’s empowerment and education.
