Saiyere Jo Radio was set up by Saiyere Jo Sangathan, a collective of lady friends dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life in remote areas of Kutch. Called Powar Patti, the women’s collective is a conglomerate of 26 arid villages that have grassy and hilly land in the Kutch District. This station is a strong medium for education also as all the programme content is broadcast in the local language Kutchi. Thematic Focus: The major focus is on the subjects of local governance and Panchyati Raj, education, health, local issues, music and culture plus livelihood of Kutch region.
