Vanya Radio Khalwa was started for the benefit of the Korku community, which lives in the border areas of Maharashtra, since they have hardly any access to modern means of communication like newspapers, radio or TV. The community radio station airs programmes in its own dialects. Thematic Focus: The station focuses on motivating and making the community aware of the need to improve their lives, thoughts and actions by using local dialects for easy communication.
